| Professional Counselors |
| |
“The
telephone counselor was wonderful. I expected, based on experience
with other organizations, to receive the briefest of conversations
and very little help and information. To my relief, that did
not happen. Please convey my appreciation to my counselor.” |
Our counselors are uniquely poised to respond to your dependent
care needs based on their outstanding educational credentials and
professional experience.
At a minimum, a counselor must have a bachelor's degree in the
field of early childhood development, geriatrics, education, social
work, developmental disabilities, counseling or social services.
Many counselors have a master’s degree in their field and
licensing in social work. In addition, counselors have at least
three years of experience in a child, elder and/or other counseling
field.
Many counselors are also certified as Geriatric Care Managers and
belong to the Professional Association for Geriatric Care Managers.
Professional experience covers a broad range including work as a
child care provider, elder care case manager or social services
counselor.
