Labor Unions
Labor has long been a catalyst for and a champion of benefit plans
that respond to the needs of its members and their families. Work
and family issues have always been at the heart of labor’s
agenda.
Today, America’s workforce is in transition, with a growing
number of dual income and single parent families who shoulder rapidly
emerging caregiving responsibilities. How does the Fund deal with

health and benefit costs? Part of the answer is to limit the stress
associated with caregiving responsibilities which is a catalyst
in rising health care utilization and cost. It does not matter if

real concerns which leads to increased medical utilization and hospitalization.
